  • An anodized guard may tie together the look with gold hardware, avoiding the strong contrast from the red tortoise guard.

Fantastic guitar

Fiesta Red Fender Custom Shop Jazzmaster, gold hardware, highly figured birdseye maple neck, rosewood fretboard, prototype pickups. Neck date January 15, 1998. This is probably the first vintage spec US Jazzmaster built after Fender quit regular production in 1980. According to the former owner, this guitar served as the prototype for what later became the 1962 American Vintage Reissue Jazzmaster. Differences from the production model: birdseye maple neck, gold hardware, 30 degree pickguard bevel. Deep and smooth tone, very even across the fretboard. Works well with stock bridge and no neck shim, excellent tuning stability. COA signed by John Page.

In this instagram post, we can see two guitars and one bass. The first guitar is his Three Wheeler Telecaster refinished in blue, and we can see the middle guitar is a Jazzmaster. It has a whammy circuit integrated in it (https://www.instagram.com/p/CefBYuqJPA0/). The post says it is a Custom Shop one made by Chip Ellis and Dan Mancini.

(The thumbnail for the submission is not correct but as it is a one off guitar, there is no way to purchase it, hencer to add it on this website)
