    Source
  • The octave switch on the Hammertone Fuzz resembles the green ringer circuit, enhancing its ability to produce unique noise and experimental sounds.

    Source

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • The octave effect on the Hammertone Fuzz is more prominent on darker neck pickups, providing a unique texture for lead tones.

    Source

User experience

  • Owners report the Hammertone Fuzz can be noisier compared to budget options like the Joyo Fuzz, affecting its usability in quieter settings.

    Source
  • While not highly versatile, it excels in its niche, providing satisfying results for those who want a specific fuzz sound.

    Source

Build quality

  • The pedal features a durable housing and high-quality knobs that do not feel cheap, enhancing its overall build quality.

Critic Reviews

Review: Fender Hammertone Fuzz - Mixdown Magazine

mixdownmag.com.au

Fender's Hammertone Fuzz Pedal successfully captures the nostalgic grit that guitarists crave, delivering a dynamic range of tones from transparent grit to velcro-tearing fuzz. Its dual silicon diode design offers a unique take on the classic fuzz sound, making it versatile for both heavy hitters and subtle players alike. The internal trim pots add to its customizability, appealing to those who want to fine-tune their sonic palette. However, while it excels in tonal variation, some might find it doesn't stray far enough from the vintage fuzz archetype, potentially leaving less adventurous players wanting more. Ultimately, this pedal stands out for its quality and flexibility, making it a worthy addition for fuzz aficionados.

Great pedal for the price!

This pedal is the first pedal I ever got, and it works well. It is up there with some of the expensive pedals, in my opinion. The ability to switch octave, and the ease of changing the pedal settings is great for messing around and trying to get your own sound. Though, I do think that it’s small button, rather than a full press, is an issue for some guitarists, as the ability to press it is flimsy. Altogether a great piece of kit, and one of my favourite pedals I’ve had the chance to use.
