Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Pedals review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Fuzz Pedal delivers impressive sound quality and a compact design that doesn’t skimp on versatility. With three distinct modes offering a range of fuzz tones, this pedal serves as a solid option for both beginners and pros alike. Its ergonomic slider interface simplifies control, making it user-friendly. However, the side-mounted power socket can be a hassle when arranging pedalboards, potentially creating awkward gaps. Overall, this fuzz pedal shines with its quality and functionality, though some may find the power connection placement a drawback.

Walrus Fundamental Series pedals review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Fuzz Pedal offers a bold sound with three distinct modes, but its performance may not stand out in a crowded market. While the aggressive tones can be appealing, the pedal lacks the refinement and versatility seen in higher-end models. Top-mounted jacks save space, but the side power input is less than ideal. Overall, it’s a solid option for those seeking a straightforward fuzz, yet it doesn't quite rise to the occasion compared to more established contenders.

Walrus Audio’s Fundamental Series is redefining entry-level pedals

guitar.com

Walrus Audio's Fundamental Series Fuzz Pedal offers an impressive entry point into the world of fuzz effects, featuring three distinct modes that cater to different tones. The build quality is solid, with sliders that feel robust and responsive. However, the Phaser falls a bit flat compared to its peers, feeling somewhat generic. While the side-mounted power socket is a minor inconvenience, the value for money is undeniable, making these pedals suitable for both beginners and seasoned pros. Overall, a commendable offering that redefines expectations in its price range.

Solid if unremarkable

Good solid fuzz pedal overall. Mid and classic modes sound great and would be useful to most. Gate is cool, if you like that sputtery kind of fuzz. I like the finish and feel of the pedal. The sliders are a nice touch but I have some yet unfounded concerns about dust and other debris possibly entering the pedal via the small slide cutouts. Overall a good solid fuzz, well priced. Walrus doesn’t really ever misstep, check out some vids and see if it’ll meet your individual needs!

Classic and mid modes are great in particular.
