Description

Step back into the golden era of rock with the Fender Made in Japan Traditional 70s Mustang, a tribute to the iconic sound and style of the 1970s. This solid body electric guitar captures the essence of vintage Mustang models with accurate period-correct detailing and modern playability enhancements. Ideal for musicians who appreciate both classic aesthetics and contemporary performance, this guitar is built to inspire.

Crafted with a basswood body, the 70s Mustang offers a lightweight yet resonant platform, ideal for extended jam sessions or energetic live performances. The short 24-inch scale length provides a unique feel and easier playability, perfect for those quick riffs and intricate chord progressions. A smooth maple neck with a vintage "U" shape and a 7.25-inch radius rosewood fingerboard ensure comfort and precision across all 22 frets.

The Mustang's voice is powered by a pair of single-coil pickups, delivering bright, clear tones with the subtle grit that’s perfect for rock, pop, and indie genres. The dynamic tonal range is further enhanced by the Mustang's floating bridge and dynamic vibrato tailpiece, allowing for expressive bends and subtle vibrato effects.

Dream Guitar

This is a bit different than the 69/73 reissue guitars. The neck is u shaped, as opposed to c shaped and feels more baseballish. it actually reminds me more of my 78 Musicmaster than my Japanese Mustangs. It's really cool feeling and very 70ish. It's absolutely beautiful and sounds very cool. I am so happy Fender finally released this in America!

super epic

Beautiful color, pickups have a great attack, and the trem stays in tune really well, which is uncharacteristic of mustangs; best purchase.
