Fender Mustang Floor review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Fender's Mustang Floor impresses with its robust build and comprehensive features, offering solid amp modeling and effects in a user-friendly package. Its nine footswitches and expression pedal are perfect for live scenarios, while the unit's studio capabilities shine with a wide range of amp models and effects. However, the interface can be cumbersome on stage, with its single LCD screen making real-time adjustments tricky. While it doesn't quite match the pedalboard feel of competitors like the Zoom G5, the Mustang Floor excels in delivering quality tones, especially with Fender's own models. A top contender for those prioritizing sound quality over ease of use.

Best Multi-Effects Floorboards: Fender, Boss, Zoom - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Fender Mustang Floor is a solid choice for guitarists seeking versatility in a well-built design. Its strength lies in the effects, which are smooth and customizable, with especially impressive overdrive and modulation options. However, some amp models, while responsive, can sound cold and processed, and the heavy overdrive can be bass-heavy. Still, its rugged build, intuitive interface, and competitive price make it a worthy contender for both stage and recording use, especially for fans of the Mustang series or musicians in need of a portable modeler.

Good sounds, hard to use

Great pre set sounds. Annoying that you have to go into the cpu to adjust any settings. I do like the way you can turn off the individual effects from the pre sets though. I have different ones for each song and then add individual effects when needed, a great feature but just takes a long time to programme compared to others.

Forgot to say, it is incredibly robust and is great for gigging.
