Great little multi fx
Great pedal for beginners and learning what you like. Using it is very difficult though. The menus are very hard to navigate at first. Sound is solid but not as good as multiple analog pedals. I’m also angry I bought it a week before the upgraded version(gx-1) came out. Also it doesn’t come with the power supply which is very annoying but batteries are ok. Power supply is 10$ on amazon

Killer multi effects unit.
This tiny thing is a Swiss army knife for those who don't want to buy several separate effects that are only used once in a while. Apart of the obvious - making patches / banks , you can assign any of the onboard effects to any of the three buttons allowing to switch them one and off - so you can have eg. chorus on DOWN button, tremolo on UP button and let's say boost on CTL1. As a bonus you have volume and quite good sounding wah pedal. On top of that you have amp simulations in case of your amp failure, audio interface for DAW recordings and headphone output for silent home practicing. That's hard to beat taking into consideration the price and quality of the effects which is, as always with Boss, excellent. And that's all for a price of one average separate pedal.

Personally, it is very versatile and I always use it live solo. I really like it because I can go from a clean tone with a jc-120 to a more distorted one like a rectifier. The presets are very good but I use more the ones I have created.

Small and powerful
This has to be the ultimate fly-rig. With my larger digital boards, I always used to organise the set list and patch up/down. This removes all other buttons and makes it so simple. I toured this in the US and went direct. I was horrifically impressed. As a practical piece of touring gear, this is hard to beat. Many, many positive 'tone' comments came during the tour which really sold me on it.

Really fun to use
Easily portable and reliable. Lots of different ways to customise the presets and the buttons. Little longer than a shoe in length and weighs very little. Volume-pedal is not the best, but still works fine. It can be changed to a wah-pedal or pitch shifter.
