Description
Since their debut, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra has performed in 31 countries around the world, and has participated in many of the world's largest music festivals such as Coachella. Based on the 1965 Stratocaster, commonly known as "Driftwood", which guitarist Takashi Kato has been using for many years, this signature model was developed in pursuit of a vintage style under his supervision.
The “Paradise Blue” that covers the body is an original color that enhances metallicity while reproducing the unique color of Lake Placid Blue that has increased in depth over time. Nitrocellulose lacquer on the top coat is kept to a minimum, making it a specification that allows you to enjoy the vintage-like sound and looks more quickly. The neck, which is profiled from the actual machine, has a 7.25-inch-radius round rose fingerboard with a nut width of about 41mm and a thin 1965 “C” shape, faithfully reproducing the grip of the vintage while smoothing with narrow tall frets. performance.
The transition logo of the patent pattern used from the late 1964 to the middle of 1965, which was the first made in Japan, was reprinted for this machine.
In addition, the deep design of the neck pocket reproduces the vintage-specific tension that has been used while performing refrets. The pickup uses a Custom Wired Vintage Style Single Coil developed for this machine. With special wiring, we succeeded in creating rich overtones and edges like hand-wound while being machine-wound. The neck and middle pickups are from the mid-'60s, and the bridge pickup is from the '50s to early '60s, allowing for both light rhythm guitars and thick lead tones.
Kato, who has a thorough knowledge of vintage Stratocasters, created this guitar with the hope that more guitarists will experience its charm.
