Solid and versatile work horse
I do about 200 performances a year between two rigs and have this unit in each one. It's solid, dependable, and produces a great sound.

Easy to Use, Great Results
I’ve been using the Fishman Platinum Pro EQ Analog Preamp for a while now, and I’m really satisfied with it. The EQ provides excellent control over my tone, and the built-in tuner is quick and accurate. The compressor, despite having just one knob, does an impressive job of balancing dynamics and tightening the sound. The Notch knob is incredibly useful for eliminating unwanted resonances or feedback, especially in live situations. I’ve used it with both electric and acoustic basses, and it’s performed well with both, delivering clear and well-defined tones. It’s compact, durable, and easy to use, making it a great option for gigs. Overall, it’s a reliable, versatile preamp, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance.

Nice review. Does this essentially replace the need for a separate tuner and EQ unit? DO you actually use the boost on it?

The EQ is simply amazing.. and it replaces the tuner very well, it has one integrated that works perfectly. I DO use the boost, on solos. It has an adjustable boost up to 12db, enough for everything. And the COMPRESSOR is fantastic.... it gave me the chance to have perfect volume and dynamics in soft fingerpicking or hard strumming.

Good stuff, thanks for the info. Usually all-in-one units suffer in some area, but you make one of these sound pretty compelling :)

Yeah I wasn't sure about these things myself, but this one really does it all. Should I find a flaw or a lack to be annoying... I couldn't, actually. And believe me, I can be VERY annoying ;)
