Critic Reviews

Hotone Audio Ampero

soundonsound.com

The Hotone Ampero is a compact powerhouse, delivering impressive effects and amp emulations in a sleek, user-friendly package. Its intuitive touchscreen and robust build make it a joy to use, and the diverse range of models ensures you'll find suitable tones for any genre. However, the integral expression pedal can be tricky, requiring a hard surface for reliable switching. While it excels in sound quality and ease of use, those seeking deep customization might find the lack of component-level editing a drawback. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for musicians looking for a versatile, affordable modeling unit that prioritizes playability.

My Favorite Modeler!!!!

I genuinely favor this over more expensive modelers, especially with newer updates. This and a 15" pa speaker will get you far with anything from an amped classical guitar to an 8 string to a 5 string bass.

michele_vanghetti

Very good amp sim!

Despite of his little price, I'm very surprised of amp sim quality. Overdrive pedal are quite good; some delay and modulation effects are very good and easy to use. Reverbs are in the middle, and there's a decent shimmer effect. Wha-wha are not so good, and pitch shifter is very awful. No send-return loop, unfortunatetly. If you're looking for a good sound with amp sim, Ampero is IMHO the best choice for it's price category, if you need a lot of effect, parallel signal chain, effect loop...ehm, no.

Best amp/cab modeller for electronic music in the world imo

Hotone Ampero just buy it. From the tones to it's ability to be used in a pinch as an interface. I'm sold..
