Boss ME-90 Guitar Multiple Effects review on fretterverse.com

fretterverse.com

The BOSS ME-90 is a formidable multi-effects pedal that brings a rich array of sounds and professional-grade features to the table. With its intuitive interface, robust build quality, and seamless integration of amp simulations and effects, it caters well to both live performers and studio enthusiasts. However, the sound quality, while good, may not satisfy those seeking the nuanced depth of high-end pedals. Additionally, its learning curve could deter some beginners. Overall, the ME-90 impresses with its versatility and user-friendliness, making it a solid choice for guitarists at various levels.

BOSS ME-90 Review - The Only Multi You Need! - Killer Guitar Rigs

killerguitarrigs.com

The Boss ME-90 offers exceptional sound quality and build, making it a top-notch multi-effect unit for players of all levels. Its range of preamp options and classic Boss effects are impressive, with tactile controls that stand out in an age of touchscreens. However, it falls short with its inability to stack effects from the same section, which may limit creativity for some users. Despite this, the ME-90 is a solid choice for those seeking simplicity and reliability without the fuss of traditional pedalboards.

Pretty Good

I like the pedals this thing has, the expression pedal as well is pretty good to use. My only dislikes is the way you use the wah and that you can stack and switch around effect order. When switching from a wah preset to a normal preset you have to either be ready to quickly switch the expression back because it then changes to a volume expression, or you have to switch it before changing preset, which, depending on the song, I do not want to do. But other than that, it can make me some pretty good tones.

Very good and cheap Multiple effects

I liked this processor primarily for its pedalboard design. It can be used both in bank mode and in Manual mode, which is painfully familiar to all guitarists, since this is the pedalboard mode. Good emulation of amplifiers and distortion pedals. The best modulation and spatial effects from Boss Loading cabinet respones Now the cons: - There is no flexible setting for each effect - Small number of downloadable IRs - You can't swap effects, the chain is set automatically - Few Reverb modes

Overall, I can recommend this processor for purchase. First of all, for its price and quality of execution. Boss is Boss, very reliable and beautiful :)

Preferred Settings + Usage:

CE-1 chorus, Warm delay, Twin and Tweed amp - IMHO best effects :)
