In addition, TRITON's full-featured sampler lets you record your own samples or load in data from a number of formats to create truly original sounds.

838 Different High-Quality PCM Sounds

TRITON's high-capacity 32 Mbyte PCM ROM contains 425 multisamples including ,organ, guitar and brass -- everything you need for all musical styles -- plus 413 drum samples. From the edgy sounds of dance/techno synth to piano, guitar, brass, strings, and tuned percussion, every type of sound you could ever need is at your fingertips. And TRITON's high-quality 48 kHz sampling rate means that every detail of the character and expressive nuance of each sound is preserved.

brilliant, purchased as a sampler still have it now

I bought this as it had a inbuilt sampler, purchased second hand and I never looked back as it's such a glorious sampler at that! I use it in conjunction with my Yamaha A3000 and have done some really cool live pieces with it!

"Likewise, the growling, portamento bass in 'Some Riot' was something that had to be crafted in the studio. 'That was a harmonica sample in a Korg Triton. When we play 'Switching Off' live, which is off Cast Of Thousands, I use that with an organ sound to create this kind of wind–organ type effect, like the old wind organs that have got a fan in them. It's had all the attack taken off so it's a slow fade–in, and then I actually played that live in the big room, so it's very much a big, roomy sound. There were two Fender Twins 30 feet apart and two mics pretty much facing them, 20 foot back. I was playing it and I was using the pitch–bend on it, but every time it bent down I was pushing the volume up, so you only really get the gritty distortion when it's actually moving from note to note, rather than on the actual note itself.'"
