VC30-112 Review | Laney | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Laney VC30-112 is a solid choice for those seeking classic British tones at an affordable price. Praised for its versatility, it handles a range of styles from blues to classic rock with ease, doing justice to the likes of Hendrix and Brian May. While it excels in clean and vintage sounds, it might not suit those looking for heavy distortion or modern metal tones. Overall, for its price, the VC30-112 offers great value with its warm, articulate sound, though some might find its build quality leaves room for improvement.

VC30-112 Review: I've found this amp to be a good match for just... | Laney | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Laney VC30-112 is a versatile amp with a sparkling clean tone and dynamic overdrive, particularly shining with single-coil pickups. While its vintage voice suits blues and classic rock, it struggles with metal brutality and can sound muddy with humbuckers. Despite some noise issues and the speaker potentially holding back its full potential, it's reliable and a worthy addition to any rig. If you’re after rich cleans and smooth overdrive, this amp delivers, but consider a speaker upgrade for the best experience. Overall, a superb choice for non-metal players seeking vintage vibes.

For Fender fans, for Vox fans, for pedal fans.

Look, it's amazing. Dial in any tone you want. You can have glass or crescendo of bite. Headroom is sufficiently open for pedals. It just sounds great whatever your plug into it. On board reverb which is useable, which is a bonus. The dirty channel crunches along like a snowmobile eating up tundra. Listen, if you like the sound of a clean Fender, but you also eye up that little bit of valve breakup on the side, this amp is for you. British voiced Americana.
