Description

The LPD Dutch covers a lot of musical ground. It can be transparent, on the edge of breakup, a medium gain heavy blues, a hard rock rhythm machine or a singing lead and all points in between. With a smooth mid-centered voice that’s sure to please, the Dutch will compliment a large range of instruments and amplifiers. Level, Gain, Treble and Bass controls allow you to tailor your sound to it’s sweet spot. The Punch switch is a gain boost with an EQ shift. The EQ has been dialed in to enhance the added gain and focus the midrange so the tone stays tight.

Lawrence Petross Design LPD Dutch Review - Humbucker Soup

humbuckersoup.com

The LPD Pedals DUTCH Overdrive impresses with its versatility and affordability, making it a strong contender for gigging guitarists seeking a transparent overdrive. Housed in a robust design, it offers intuitive controls and a dynamic range that can suit a variety of musical styles—from blues to rock. The pedal shines when paired with different guitar types, providing a mix-friendly sound with its scooped mid-range and articulate high frequencies. While its gain never reaches extreme levels, the "punch" button adds a pleasant lift to the signal. Some players might need to tweak their amp settings to accommodate the pedal's top-end articulation, especially with scooped Fender sounds. Overall, the DUTCH is a reliable, affordable, and versatile tool for those who value tone and transparency, offering a solid foundation for any pedalboard.
