Guitar Pedal Reviews: Mooer Micro Pedals Distortions | Delicious Audio

delicious-audio.com

The Mooer Grey Faze offers a solid dive into vintage fuzz tones reminiscent of the 60s, capturing the essence of the original Dallas-Arbiter Fuzz Face with its Germanium transistor. While it doesn't boast an extensive feature set, the simplicity is part of its charm, allowing users to easily transition from Hendrix to Sabbath with a twist of the Fuzz knob. Although lacking a direct comparison to an original unit, it confidently sits in the same ballpark, making it an appealing choice for those chasing classic rock sounds without breaking the bank.

Best fuzz pedal

The very vintage tone very similar to fuzz face which the george harrison used on his most solos

Fuzz Face Gremanium Clone

Mooer's clone of Dunlop's Fuzz Face Germanium. Close tone to the original, in a much more fit and compact format. Just like the original, it features a more vintage fuzz tone.

On some of the solos, I experimented with the Mooer pedals, particularly one called Grey Faze Fuzz, which is this really unique, psychedelic, Yardbirds-fuzz kind of sound you can hear throughout the record. With that pedal, I used a Japan-made ’62-reissue Strat that Phil gave me.
