great near field monitors
i got this as my first monitor speakers for mixing , it sound great but my room f**ked up my frequency response , so i used sonarworks studio edition to fix my issue.
Perfect Size, and Perfect Sound easily rivals monitors 5x the price.
When it's time to replace those cheap "computer" speakers with serious 2-way professional studio monitors, you're ready for the Eris E4.5. With Kevlar low frequency transducers, low-mass silk-dome tweeters, responsive Class AB amplification, and professional acoustic-adjustment controls, the compact Eris E5 represents an outstanding value in its class. It includes RF shielding, current-output limiting, over-temperature protection, and subsonic protection, and unlike comparably priced studio monitors, it has controls for simulating different listening environments and flattening frequency response to enable accurate mixing.

Good studio monitors for a beginner
Working full-time overseas I don't have a lot of space in my room. The Presonus Eris 4.5 produces a very good sound, fits nicely into the space I have, and affordable for a beginner like me. I'm sure I will upgrade in the future to something of better quality if my music creation takes me there.

nice small powered speakers
I have better/bigger monitors but I have to admit that definition of the sound is pretty nice. It doesn't go very deep in the bass but the clarity is nice. The powered speaker of the two has some noise but not very disturbing. Very nice feature to have a headphone jack and an aux in on the front as well as that you have a volume knob so you don't need an additional monitor controller. They are good for tasks not directly related to music production, like video editing, narration etc or when the space is very limited. For serious monitoring application I would recommend getting bigger ones.

Love it!!!
For the money these studio monitors are hard to beat, they are the only bi-amp monitors that actually have an EQ on the back so that you can EQ the speakers to your room. Sound wise these are pretty nice, it has a good frequency response and the lows are pretty present. Overall a really amazing set of speakers.

Compared to the price i think its one of the best you can get, i guess. It sounds so flat, if something sound near great on this it will sound good everyvhere. And it makes easy to hear pretty big mistakes on your tracks.
