Best practice amp

This was my first amp when I started learning guitar. Like my band, I was in a stage when I would experiment with different tones and see what I like. This amp has several built in effects that are good to get a basic idea of what they sound like. I like the four channel design and that they are customizable. There's a built in headphone out and aux in, both are 1/8" (which is convenient). This amp gets loud, but I don't think it's gigging quality. Perhaps the next model up (MG50CFX) would be more suitable because it puts out 50 watts and it has a 12" speaker. Regardless, Marshall quality doesn't decline in these lower cost amps.

A solid combo amp with a good price.

It's a pretty good amp. I'm not a huge amp expert or whatever, but I've played a few. This is a good amp, and it has a big sound and nice built in effects. The controls are a bit annoying, when switching from dirt channels to clean channels and vice versa it ramps the volume to full blast and practically blasts your ears out. It's got a really sharp, aggressive tone that can sometimes be annoying. All in all, it's the best I've got and I doubt I could've gotten any better for the money.

I like this amp it is stylish and loud but can not keep up with a band the gain and bass on it is bad I wouldn't recommend getting one go towards katana or fender champ 100 if you use pedals.

awesome amp

Very good for practicing inside but is also good for small venues. Has a very pure and compressed sound even overdrive channels. The built in effects are good for beginner players but hard to get exact tones and detailed performances from. For higher level players I recommend buying pedals along with the effects.

Just good combo amp

It's good guitar combo amp, i like his sound. Also this amp have built-in digital effects, but if you want have real great sound, you need use pedals effects

Best For A Beginner's Amplifier

Marshall MG30CFX Carbon Fibre 30 Watt Guitar Combo Amplifier w/ Effects

The MG30CFX combines Marshall’s famous solid-state tonal circuitry with modern digital FX. Choose from Reverb, Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Delay (tap-tempo) and Octave (fixed).

There are four channels, Clean, Crunch, OD1 and OD2, which when in manual mode operate like any ‘normal’ amp. When in preset mode, whatever settings you dial-in can be stored, so that when you switch to that channel, those settings will be recalled.

The MG30CFX has a bigger sound than the MG15CFX with slightly lower frequency response, and is loaded with a 30 Watt, 10” Custom speaker.
