Fun

It’s a unique amp with the tremolo and reverb. This was my brothers who passed away. I wish I could find the footswitch to it. It’s a cool sounding amp but I feel like it’s limited to a certain sound. Still, very cool, vintage sound.

Great Amp

Great amp, super clean, sounds like a Fender Twin, but not nearly as loud. It's also has less hum and a little bit less abrasive than a Twin. Very detailed sound, esp. compared to most Marshalls. All in all, pretty ugly, but great sounding.

Great amplifier. bit too much gain on clean

Great amplifier. In my opinion though, there is a bit too much gain on clean.

"We have the old Silvertone. I mean I worried so much about these before I set my eyes on them. I thought they were going to be a nightmare, but they have given me no problem whatsoever. I've got the same amp, the same cab, I mean this is just for show really - we just use the bottom cab. They've come out of the box and have worked every day for nealy a year now, and we've been all around the world so they're good. They're basic engineering, but it still works. It's from 1963, you can't really argue with that. I mean you can see that it's made of press board but it's holding its end up," says Josh Klinghoffer's guitar tech.

recording engineer Bill Skibbe: We usually use one of the POGs to thicken up the sound, and that feeds three guitar amps—a modified Fender Twin, this amazing Vox AC50, and a ''60s Silvertone 610 that bit the dust right after we''d finished tracking everything
