Leak: Fender Squier FSR Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar in cool retro new colours! - gearnews.com

gearnews.com

The Squier FSR Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar in Shell Pink is a visually striking guitar with retro appeal, featuring a lightweight poplar body and a maple neck. Its Fender Designed Alnico Single-Coil pickups deliver decent sound, although the hardware deviates from traditional Jaguar specs. While the guitar is attractively priced at GBP 349, the review hints at a lack of authenticity in some design elements, which may disappoint purists. Overall, it presents an interesting option for budget-conscious players, but it may not fully satisfy those seeking the classic Jaguar experience.

Pretty good, but needs work out of the box.

Right out of the box this guitar is very difficult to play. But invest a bit of time, and if you can, some money, and it's honestly great.

Right out of the box the fretboard was all dried up. Immediately oiled the fretboard, added a neck pocket shim, new strings, adjusted the action and intonation. That got this about 75% of the way there. The stock vibrato is workable, if a bit noisy. Same for the bridge, a bit of a rattle. Swapped for an AVRI Vibrato and a AmPro bridge, and this plays as well as any other guitar in my collection. Better and cheaper than a Vintera in my opinion.
