California Series Strat Review: I just love the shape of the Strat above any other... | Squier | Electric Guitars | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Squier Stratocaster California Series falls flat with a disheartening 1/10 rating from critics. Despite its appealing shape and headstock, the guitar is plagued by poor sound quality, unreliable hardware, and flawed craftsmanship. The original setup is described as "junky," with significant hum and unsatisfactory performance across various music genres. The action, fit, and finish reveal imperfections like lacquer bumps and recessed dots. While some aspects of the paint and neck finish are praised, the overall experience is marred by hardware issues and installation errors. Ultimately, the guitar fails to impress, leaving musicians seeking more reliable options.

Good to begin.

I really appreciate this guitar, is my first guitar ever. It isn´t the best, but a strato is very useful when you´re a beginner. Its pickups aren´t good to use distortion, it even make noise with some overdrive, so I recommend if you´re gonna get this strato, change its pickups!!!
