Description
The Superfly Mk2 pedal is based on the 1965 legendary Sola Sound Tone Bender Mk2 germanium fuzz pedal. This fuzz sound is marked by the name of Jimmy Page, this pedal was an unshakable component of the Led Zeppelin guitar sound. In the Superfly Mk2, we use the same circuit, built from authentic components, supplemented with a couple of useful developments that meet the requirements of today's world.
As a result of years of experimentation and research, our Superfly Mk2 pedal was born. Very diverse we tested a germanium transistor until we found the most perfect solution. These are three very rare types formed from a combination of a germanium transistor. We think this is the perfect solution to achieve true Tone Bender Mk2 sound.
The original TB pedals only operated on battery, we supplemented our pedal with a special polarity reversing circuit to work with a standard Boss type 9V (center negative) power supply according to today's world standard, so we can use it in a daisy chain without any problems.
We hope you like the end result!
The Level pot adjusts the output volume of the effect.
You can use the Attack knob to adjust the amount of distortion.
With the Pre Gain knob, we can adjust the input impedance of the circuit, thus triggering the function of the volume knob on our guitar when the pedal is on. This is because another characteristic feature of the TB circuit is that by decreasing the input signal level, the tissue of the distortion is “cleansed”, the distortion can be practically minimized. This trick is popular with all famous fuzz users, but if you use more than one pedal on your board, this feature can be a great help, as you don't have to scroll the guitar volume pot all the time, there's no risk of accidentally forgetting to rewind another. number and possibly other pedals will sound bad or not the way you want them to.
The pedal can be used from a battery or a standard Boss standard DC 9V adapter. The original TB pedals only operated on battery because they were positively grounded, the Acid Fuzz pedals do not have this polarity problem with the built-in polarity reversing circuit. The pedal is negatively grounded, so it can be used in a chain with other pedals as well as other standard pedals. The current consumption of the circuit is minimal (a few mA), so a good durable battery can be used for a long time.
All Kasleder pedals are made using True Bypass and the highest quality components (Alpha pots, Neutrik jacks, Nichicon, Wima, Philips caps, etc.), offering an uncompromising solution for even the most demanding musicians.
