Voce Spin II Rotary Speaker Simulator

gear-vault.com

The Voce Spin II Rotary Speaker Simulator offers a compelling alternative to the cumbersome Leslie cabinet, delivering a rich, swirling sound synonymous with the original. Its standout features include independent speed controls for the simulated speakers and adjustable acceleration, allowing users to fine-tune their desired sonic swirl. The selectable input switch and adjustable output level enhance its versatility. While it excels in stereo mode, its performance in mono is still commendable. For those seeking a portable yet authentic rotary sound, the Spin II impressively outshines its competition.

Sold for charity on Moby's official Reverb shop in 2018. The buyer later listed it back on Reverb on July 10, 2021.

This Voce Spin II is part of the private collection of Moby.

The new SPIN II is the successor to our highly regarded SPIN rotary speaker simulator. It accurately duplicates the effect of a rotating speaker cabinet "mic’d" with up to four microphones (two for the horn and two for the lower rotor).

The SPIN II utilizes the same rotor simulator technology used in the original SPIN and the V3 Tone Wheel Organ Synthesizer. However, some important changes and improvements were made. The SPIN II is an effects pedal version of the SPIN that utilizes a simple and intuitive user interface allowing you to start using it as fast as you can plug in the power and audio cables. Features unique to the SPIN II are foot-switches for bypass and rotor speed, controls to adjust acceleration, slow and fast rotor speeds, a selectable input level allowing SPIN II to be used with guitars as well as keyboards and an adjustable output level for interfacing to sensitive guitar amps.

Other features include stereo outputs, small footprint, and direct AC line power.

This particular SPIN II tests perfectly with minimal signs of wear.

"I have the Strymon Brigadier dBucket delay on my regular guitar pedal board along with a tuner, a Klon overdrive clone and an older Voce Spin II rotating speaker effect pedal that I’ve had for a long time. I have two spaces that I tend to fill with different things. All the effects go through a loop switcher too."
