Westone B50 Review

audio46.com

Westone's B50 stands tall at $699, delivering a rich, bass-heavy sound that redefines previous models. With impressive low-end response suitable for rock and hip-hop, and detailed mids that shine across genres, these IEMs cater well to audiophiles. The lightweight build and thoughtful accessories add to the appeal, but the in-ear design compromises soundstage depth, leaving some listeners wanting more spatial openness. Ultimately, the B50 is a worthy investment for those seeking a slightly warm sound, though audiophiles craving a more expansive soundstage might need to look elsewhere.

Review: Westone B30 & B50 - Headfonia Reviews

headfonia.com

The Westone B50 impresses with its robust bass response, designed for enthusiasts who crave a punchy sound. However, while the lightweight design ensures comfort, the plastic build may not convey the premium feel some users expect at this price point. The inclusion of a Bluetooth cable is a nice touch, yet the overall aesthetic remains traditional and somewhat dated. With a decent performance across genres, it appeals to a broad audience but lacks the standout features that would set it apart in the competitive market of high-end IEMs.

Westone B-series, B30 and B50 – Twister6 Reviews

twister6.com

While the Westone B50 offers a solid bass-centric experience with appealing cosmetic upgrades and a commendable silver-plated cable, it may not be for everyone. The enhanced bass tuning could overwhelm those who prefer a more balanced sound, and the inclusion of an older Bluetooth cable feels like a missed opportunity given the advancements in wireless technology. Although it shines in design and packaging, the B50's performance might leave some users wanting, especially if they lean towards a more nuanced audio profile. Ultimately, it caters well to bass enthusiasts but may alienate others.

Westone B50 Review - Major HiFi

majorhifi.com

Westone's B50 IEMs are a delightful blend of punchy bass and warmth, making them a standout for pop and rock aficionados. Their comfort and sound isolation are top-notch, though the highs may lack the sparkle some audiophiles crave. While they may not match the versatility of Westone's W series, the B50's engaging sound and solid build make them a compelling choice for those seeking impactful listening experiences.

Warm and Fat - Westone B50 Review | Heapdhone Dungeon

headphonedungeon.com

The Westone B50 offers a warm, punchy low end and comfortable fit, making it a solid choice for various genres, particularly pop and hip-hop. Its soundstage is nuanced but slightly compromised by a high-mid cut, which may leave vocals feeling distant. While the build quality impresses with rugged durability and customizable faceplates, the lack of high-mid clarity could frustrate some listeners seeking a balanced mix. Ultimately, the B50 excels in warmth and complexity but may not satisfy those who prioritize vocal prominence in their audio experience.
