Studio reference standard
If you ever been to a professional recording studio you probably noticed several pairs of these headphones around. AKG K240 are praised for their natural flat sound and used for mixing and monitoring. Like NM10 monitors, they are the reference standard. These headphones do not boost any particular frequency but give a true sonic picture. They're also user very friendly allowing for hours of work without headache. There are more expensive headphones out there, but these are pro's choice for a good reason.

My favorite headphones for everything!
From mixing to enjoying good quality audio records, this is the best you can get! It does not give you that awful low-end that destroys your mix. Because of its semi-open construction, you will be able to stay longer periods using it. The only problem some people have with it is about the durability, but hey...you are not suppose to throw it around! And it is expensive to keep caring around inside your backpack to use it with your iPod... C'mon! Lets use the gear for its right purpose!

I usually add 1dB at 1KHz when mixing... at least for me, it makes a HUGE difference! Totally recommend you to try it.
