Great Solid State Combo
Solid state amps are often overlooked as good for practicing only and have a terrible gain sound, but this amp is anything but that. I am able to keep up with a drums, bass, and vocals with the volume at just half way. It has an insane amount of volume, and the gain channel is good for metal. I run pedals for distortion, so the only time I use the amp's gain is when I'm just practicing guitar to amp. It never fails me. It has plenty of gain and 16 different effects, so I use reverb settings on the amp for my reverb. Just a great amp, and very cheap for what you get.

Cheap Workhorse
For 80-something bucks used (you can find this pretty cheap online or locally), the clean tones are great. When used with pedals, it becomes a great base.
