Line 6 Spider V 120 Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Line 6 Spider V 120 is a feature-packed amp that offers great modeling capabilities at a wallet-friendly price. Its bi-amped full-range speaker system delivers versatile tones, from acoustic to high-gain sounds, ideal for home or studio use. The Spider Remote app simplifies sound editing and recording, adding convenience. However, its digital nature becomes noticeable at higher volumes, and onstage adjustments can be cumbersome. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Spider V 120 is a solid choice for those seeking a versatile modeling amp without breaking the bank.

Line 6 Spider V 120: Pro Review Xpress - Pro Reviews - Harmony Central

harmonycentral.com

The Line 6 Spider V 120 comes packed with features, including 78 amp models, 101 effects, and a built-in wireless receiver, making it highly versatile for guitarists seeking variety. Its lightweight build and 120-watt output ensure portability without sacrificing volume, handling both small and larger gig settings. However, the amp's full-range speaker system may not appeal to purists preferring traditional guitar speaker coloration, as it aims for transparency to leverage its digital modeling. The absence of a dedicated stereo output jack might also limit stereo effects possibilities, requiring workarounds for full utilization.

Good amp

This amp is great for gigging, since it can get very, VERY loud. You can customize tones, download other people's tones, or create your own. My only downside is that you need a separate adapter to plug in android devices and computers, when iPhones just need a standard charger to connect to the amp.
