Critic Reviews

NwAvGuy: Behringer UCA202 Review

nwavguy.blogspot.com

The Behringer UCA202 offers impressive performance for its $29 price, with excellent line output quality and plug-and-play functionality across multiple systems. Ideal for musicians needing a budget-friendly upgrade from basic PC sound, it shines when paired with high-impedance headphones. However, the headphone amp struggles with low impedance headphones, delivering subpar volume and frequency response. Despite its plastic build, the UCA202's reliability and sound quality make it a solid choice for those looking to enhance their audio experience without breaking the bank. For better headphone performance, consider using an external amp with its line outputs.

NwAvGuy: UCA202 DAC Take 2

nwavguy.blogspot.com

The Behringer UCA202 USB Audio Interface is a top contender for budget-conscious audiophiles seeking a reliable DAC. While its headphone output is lacking, the line outputs deliver commendable sound quality and low distortion at a mere $30 price point. With smooth installation on Windows systems and a design that includes desirable features like RCA outputs and an optical digital TOSLINK, the UCA202 surpasses newer competitors, such as the Turtle Beach Micro II, in key performance areas. Despite its larger size and higher noise levels, it remains a recommended choice for those focusing on line output use.

Cheap, Portable, Quality and affordability

I picked this up for under £20 and I'm still flabbergasted on what I got for that money. Two in Two out via USB for a cheap price without compromising on quality. Will be buying another one of these for my laptop. Highly Recommend!
