Features and functionality

  • The Blackstar ID:60 TVP is noted for emulating tube amp clarity, rivaling many digital amps.

    Source

Comparisons

  • The Blackstar Silverline's 50w combo cab is reported to struggle with larger tones, sounding "like a fart in a shoe" compared to larger cab setups.

    Source
  • The Blackstar ID TVP and Silverline series share similarities, but the Silverline uses Celestion V-type speakers, which are not flat-response, yet still deliver a good sound.

    Source

Mods and upgrades

  • The Blackstar ID:60 TVP is often paired with a WGS ET65 speaker, though caution is advised as the amp's modeling system is tailored for its stock speaker.

    Source

User experience

  • Owners emphasize that speaker changes in modeling amps can affect tonal versatility, potentially impacting performance across clean, crunch, and high-gain styles.

    Source
  • Owners find the Blackstar ID:60 TVP's loudness comparable to 100-watt amps due to speaker sensitivity, making it a viable option for various performance settings.

Fantastic - Flexible "Tube Like" amp

These things are awesome - got it off ebay for £250, bargain, I use it live, no worries, it's plently loud enough and with the 6V6 tube setting has loads of headroom and real fender character if you want it, and Marshall, Vox, Messa, pretty much any style of amp is there for you to discover, save and recall - with massive tube like power it's a 60W digital amp that has the same punch as an equivalent valve amp, without braking the bank or your back.
