A decent practice amp.
One of these is not quite loud enough for a live band but I used two together for a much bigger stereo sound when my band was first starting out. I spent about 60 bucks for mine, and borrowed a friends. The gain channel actually has a pretty nice tweakable overdrive/distortion.
