An Underrated Workhorse in the World of Delay Pedals
This pedal is seriously underrated! The Crazy Tube Circuits Time packs a ton of features into a reasonably compact enclosure. Along with the standard Mix, Time, Repeats, and Tone controls, it includes a dedicated knob for modulation intensity—adding tape-like vibrato and flutter. It also offers three delay subdivisions: quarter note, dotted eighth (that classic U2 sound), and triplets.
The pedal has two silent footswitches: one for bypass, and one for tap tempo. Holding down the tap switch engages infinite repeats, building up into self-oscillation.
Tonally, it sits somewhere between analog and digital—not crystal clear, but with character. It reminds me of the DOD Rubberneck, though with higher fidelity, no unnecessary "rubberneck" gimmick, and in a smaller format that fits perfectly on my mini-board. Personally, I like using a subtle mix setting to create a discreet, supportive delay.
Overall, this is one of the best delay pedals out there. It’s already affordable new, but if you can find one used, it’s an absolute steal. The market is full of delay pedals, but this one really stands out—I highly recommend it.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Mix at 10:00, Repeats at 1:00, Time to taste, Tone at 9:30, Mod at 9:00. For subdivision, I switch between quarter notes and dotted eighths—dotted eighths are fantastic for arpeggios and certain chord textures, while quarter notes provide more clarity when letting individual notes ring out.

The very best of both worlds
All analogue signal path, digital control. Absolutely brilliant delay! Tap tempo, note divisions, modulation, it's got it all. Unlike some delays with modulation, I find that the full range of the mod dial is completely usable.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Dotted 8th delay on the edge of self-oscillation for a perfect ambient pad

While the DOD Rubberneck is analog, the sounds of those two pedals are not dissimilar and they embark the same features (TI:ME is more of a no-thrill pedal and that's why I like it best).
MKII is a revised version of the original Time, featuring tap tempo and a redesigned footprint.
