Sounds great for my taste and it's build like a tank! Weights more than 800 g in die-cast shell.

A Sleeping Giant ( if you get the mod! )

Monte Allums put it best himself when he said that this pedal is a "fizz factory". So there it was sitting in it's box & I heard about a mod for the pedal. I had nothing to lose, it wasn't being used & I wanted a functional overdrive so why not.

I opted for the Monte Allums Tri-Gain mod & man am I ever glad I did! No only is it now a useable pedal but it transformed from what it was & SMOOTH w/ a range of tonal options. Not a fan of the "top"setting of the new toggle but the middle & bottom are pretty special & in the zone of grit, punch & gutsy roar that I'm after & the bass/mid/treble pots now seem more effective than they ever were. Highly recommended!

Great for shaping the tone

Bought this for cheap while I was on the road, now I put it in my effects loop to shape my tone and add a little extra grit near the end of my sound. Love the vintage Art Deco aesthetic of this Dano series.

Retro styling, throaty tones.

Nice warm tone, I know some complain about its durability but it's never let me down in over a decade of use. There's better out there, but at its price point it's a good addition to a pedal board.

Cool pedal, but didn't use it much

A fellow musician gave me this pedal because he was downsizing. I loved this pedal, but I didn't know how I would apply that to my rig.

Sounds ok. Built like crap.

This thing sounds alright, but the construction of this unit is pure garbage. I've had to re-wire it countless times.

There's a Reason Some Pros Use it

Got a modded Daddy-O for $20, as opposed to a non-modded one for the same price. The mod done to it sounds as though its a heavier clip. About twice the amount of fuzz as a stock Daddy-O. Great for riffing.
