Description
Experience the dynamic versatility of the Dreadbox Kinematic Compressor/Filter, a pedal that effortlessly combines a VCA-based compressor with an envelope filter to create a unique sonic landscape for both guitarists and synth enthusiasts. This compact stompbox is more than just a compression tool; it offers a dual-mode operation that allows you to toggle between Comp Color and Env Filter modes, each with its own distinct character.
In Comp Color mode, the pedal delivers a rich compression experience with the power to boost frequencies, thanks to its intuitive Filter knob, and lets you craft subtle overdriven textures or unleash face-melting fuzz with the Drive control. The Env Filter mode transforms the Kinematic into an engaging autowah machine, with a low-pass filter that reacts dynamically to your playing, making it an excellent choice for funk-infused riffs.
Beyond its dual-mode versatility, the Kinematic features three patch points, opening up a world of possibilities for modular synth integration. Whether you're a guitarist looking to add a new dimension to your sound or a synth player eager to explore new textures, this pedal's envelope filter capability will inspire you to push the boundaries of your creativity.

Great sounding and useful effects pedal.
Serves a dual purpose—a compressor or an envelope filter, but not both. I use the compressor for drums (a little drive, and some filter manipulation where you can get super dubby with the kick) and sometimes for bass guitar (especially the envelope, where you have quite a bit of control). I've used the CV options on occasion, but haven't dialed that in yet. Great pedal!
