Features and functionality

The Grazer lacks envelope triggering, limiting its control over when glitches occur compared to other pedals like the Malekko Charlie Foxtrot.
Source -
The Grazer can function similarly to a slapback effect when "smacking" onto strings, offering a unique approach to rhythm and lead playing.
Source -
Combining the Grazer with pedals like Adventure Audio's Again or a reverb can yield chill, textured sonic results.

Comparisons
-
The pitch control on the Grazer is stepped, making it easier to find specific notes but less suitable for smooth pitch glides.
Source -
The Malekko Charlie Foxtrot offers automatic pitch glitching and expression control over multiple knobs, contrasting with the Grazer's more limited functionality.
Source -
The Grazer is described as more interesting than the Wizard of Pitch, which some find unruly and limiting in certain applications.
Source -
The Red Panda Particle is deemed more versatile due to MIDI capabilities, while the Grazer is noted for its dirtier, glitchier sound.
Source
Use cases and applications
-
The pedal is notably effective with drum machines, creating unique percussive sounds and artifacts when combined with reverb.
Source -
The Grazer excels in creating dense, controllable walls of sound when paired with the Pitch Fork and overdrive, ideal for building wild lead parts.
Source -
When used with sparse drum patterns, the Grazer fills spaces with unique pitched-up fills, enhancing the rhythmic texture.
Source -
Maxing out size and pitch knobs on the Grazer creates unique textures, especially when combined with delay and fuzz effects.
Source
User experience
-
Owners often find the extreme pitch range nearly unusable for conventional applications, rarely setting the pitch knob above 10 o'clock when used with guitars or synths.
Source -
Some users find the Grazer less practical for everyday use, preferring it for specific creative sessions rather than as a permanent pedalboard addition.
Source
Value and pricing
-
Some users feel the Grazer is overpriced for its capabilities compared to other granular delays, describing it as a "one-trick pony."
Source
Build quality
-
The Grazer features soft touch buttons, providing a seamless, noiseless activation, contrasting with Dwarfcraft's Happiness pedal which lacks this feature.
Source -
Knobs on the Grazer are described as having less resistance compared to other pedals, offering a looser feel but not to the point of feeling broken.

sadly, Dwarfcraft is no longer in business.
i say: a damn shame, as now this pedal is way too expensive. i picked it up a few years ago and it's one of my most-used effects. it's a glitchy granular pitchshifter and it does wonderful things to sound.
