Grab and play!

I've owned other Japanese and Classic Series Teles; I've played American Standards as well and this is by far my favourite. You can play anything with this. It can be as twangy as you want to play country, roll the tone knob down a bit and add some overdrive and make it rock. From Tom Morello to Keith Richards, everything is here. The four way switch can give you plenty of tones. I love the stock pickups and the neck feels great. Any cons? well, it doesn't come with a case but regarding tone it is perfect to me. Hard to find a better tele for less money. Yes, it comes from Mexico and so do Tacos and both are great.

If I had to pick just one, this would be it.

Best £800 ever spent in my life.

So easy to play, incredible variety of tones, beautiful sounding from stock workhorse guitar that will stay beside me until I croak.

Esp new players: MEXICAN FENDERS - start here and you won’t go wrong.

Best Tele for the price

Thickest neck I have ever played, roaring pups, solid finish, versatile tone. For that price range you can't go wrong. Unless you hate thick necks. It's not as super silky as high-end models, but a sturdy, reliable workhorse with great feel and tone.

@jimmarchi1 hmm, my previous main axe was Ibanez S, so this felt like a baseball bat in my hand. Any suggestions on fatter necks? I like'm thick :)

Gibson historic junior or an original.... my 90s esquire (I think tis 90s) has an even bigger neck than my baja...pretty much any Gibson model that isn't specifically sold as a 'slim taper neck' model can be obtained with a baseball bat if you sift through a zillion guitars.... the historic jrs though? literally the fattest necks I've ever encountered stock, it was a bit much even for me

Great vintage tone, with modern bells and whistles

This guitar has really great build quality, and some sweet sounding pickups. The S-1 switching isnt used to often in my case, but it can be great to kick on for a lead sound, especially since theres an increase in volume. Overall its a great guitar that costs less than half what the 52 RI does, and it does a good job of capturing that 52 vibe.

Just great!

I absolutely love this guitar! The pickups in it sound amazing, it has a nice classic look and it has a couple extra features that are really nice too. The only thing I don't like about it are the classic style machine heads which are a massive pain in the ass to work with but if you can get past that this is not just a great guitar for the price it's just great in general.

A modern twist on classic Tele tone

Beautiful guitar. Like a '52 Tele with updated electronics (coil-tapping). Wonderful Tele tone that is unmatched. My main guitar on record and live, and my prized possession.
