I have two that I heavily customized
I have two that have had the pickups replaced with sets of GFS Brighton Rock Vintage pickups. One of the Strats is wired in the traditional strat way. The other is wired like Brian May's Red Special. The Brian May Strat is Midnight Wine, and the regular Strat is come CopperBurst affair. Both strats also sport Blade-Runner Vibrato tailpieces, which are amazing!
Not my style
I'm hoping to upgrade to a semi-hollow in the near future, so my review will obviously be biased. I prefer finger-style picking and basic strumming. This guitar is really more for those who play lead, or enjoy playing licks. Has a nice spanky sound on a clean setting and has a really nice grunge sound when pair with distortion. Though it is not my cup-of-tea, it is a nice guitar.

This guitar has served me well.
Before I was into electronic music and music production, I played guitar. This is only my second guitar, after the Squier Mini I started out on as a kid. It has the look and sound (as far as I'm concerned, anyway) of any other Strat, so it was naturally a great addition to my setup.

Hot as Hell.
One of my more recent purchases, as of 2014 anyway, one sexy guitar. Modded mine slightly to have black neck and middle pickups and a Seymour Duncan Lil' 59 in the bridge.
Artist usage

Back in the Radish days of the mid-late 90s, Ben Kweller would often be seen playing a red Fender Stratocaster. Ben got the guitar for his 11th birthday in 1992, and states it was a MIM. This can also be confirmed by the presence of a truss rod hole, the single string tree, the straight "stratocaster" rather than the curved version often seen on other models, no decal on the very end of the headstock, and rosewood fretboard.
Also clearly at some point in the six years between receiving it and playing it on the Weird Al show, he snapped off part of the pick guard.

"I got my first guitar on my 11th Birthday. It was a Red Fender Stratocaster that was made in Mexico. Soon after learning how to play guitar I formed the bands Mirage, Fox Glove and Digitalis. When we were teenagers, John Kent and I formed the group Radish. Eventually we left High School to pursue Rock and Roll for good"
