Not just a pretty face.
My particular model was 'Made In Japan' circa '94 / '95. I purchased it online for £799 in 2011 as a birthday present to myself. It has a clear tone, not a million miles from the sound of a Fender Jaguar, but not quite as raspy. The neck is very playable, even higher up, great for the strumming of high barre chords.

The product dating says its made circa 1999-2002 It has the vintage specs but the body is made from basswood. I had a Baja Tele too, its much better build quality and the "feel" is much better too.
