Operating on a standard 9V power supply, the Poppy ingeniously converts this to 18V internally, ensuring you have the clean headroom necessary for any performance. Housed in a compact 125B enclosure, this pedal features two distinct circuits: the Red Poppy and the White Poppy. The Red Poppy utilizes an op-amp based boost circuit from the original mini Poppy pedal, offering controls for Boost, Tone, and Bump. Adjust your over boost levels while tailoring your frequency range for a custom mids or treble boost.

On the other side, the White Poppy introduces a new JFET transistor design with a baxandall tone circuit, mimicking the rich tonal quality of a tube amp. With controls for Boost, Bass, and Treble, it allows for comprehensive EQ shaping. Both circuits provide a unique bias control, making it easy to maintain clean headroom or to dive into dirtier tones.

For added flexibility, the Poppy Dual Boost includes extra in and out jacks, allowing you to position the Red and White circuits independently in your signal chain. Plus, with its intuitive power-up settings, you can decide whether each side defaults to on or off, adapting to any performance scenario.

The Flower Pedals Poppy Dual Boost tries to deliver versatility with its two distinct circuits, but it ultimately falls short in execution. While the Red Poppy provides familiar boost controls, the innovative White Poppy's JFET transistors and Baxandall tone circuit fail to impress with a noticeably duller output.
