Description
Introducing the reissued DOD Bifet Boost 410, the perfect companion for musicians seeking a powerful and flexible boost for their pedalboard. This pedal brings a potent boost with a slight hint of grit that can catapult your guitar amplifier into overdrive. It features independent volume and tone controls, offering a broad spectrum to manipulate and perfect your sound.
The DOD Bifet Boost 410 stands out for its selectable Buffer On/Off toggle switch. This feature gives it the flexibility to fit anywhere in your FX chain. When placed first in the chain, you can turn the buffer off to prevent it from affecting fuzz pedals. Alternatively, place it at the end of the chain with the buffer on to counteract signal loss from larger packed pedalboards.
This reissue retains the best parts of the original but adds a modern touch with the inclusion of a 9V DC power supply input, making the pedal more pedalboard-friendly. Unlike the original, this pedal features true bypass, ensuring your guitar tone remains pristine even when the pedal is off.

Monster of a clean boost! Affordable and a great option for first time boosters!
I have used a few of the cheaper "clean" boosts on the market, and I really enjoy the DOD 410 over all the others I've tried on other rigs. I noticed that this pedal adds clarity and shimmer to my playing even when covered with other gain stages or modulation. For instance, I run a Boss harmonist for a couple of solos and when I do so there is typically a very dirty gain tone added behind the harmonist. There is an UNREAL difference in clarity when the boost is activated, and I can only assume it is due to the EQ shaping provided by the DOD 410's tone knob. It feels like those harmonized parts go from a rounded edge to a precision blade. There isn't too much sharpness and I have yet to need to crank the pedals massive boost up past 1pm for small-medium sized gigging. It is always on when I'm playing clean or soloing, it's a game changer for an affordable price! The buffer switch adds even more versatility, and I've enjoyed playing with it in different points in the chain!

I tried one of the original 80s bifet boosts in the 90s after reading that Kim Thayil of Soundgarden used one during SG's subpop years (remember the era, black hole sun had just been released and I was a dumb kid who tried most gear based on what I saw guys using at shows).... I remember really digging it out front of my Princeton Reverb and I cannot remember for the life of me why I got rid of it. Maybe the original issue lacked a foot switch? I wish I had kept it, its awesome DOD saw fit to reissue this circuit.
Can't gig without it
Whenever I'm playing with the LP Jr. or really any other guitar with P90's this pedal immediately gets called into action. Really enhances the warmth of the P90 giving a very unique tone.
