User experience

  • Owners note the Firebird Studio's superior tuning stability compared to other guitars, even with a collection of 30 instruments, including 9 Gibsons.

    Source
  • Owners describe the guitar as light and comfortable, with a body as thin as an SG, making it easier to handle despite its size.

    Source
  • Some owners find the neck finish too sticky for smooth playability, with complaints about its thickness not suiting players preferring slimmer profiles.

    Source
  • The stock guitar strap included with the Firebird Studio is criticized for being thin and of poor quality, with fake leather ends that appear fragile.

    Source

Build quality

    Source
  • The neck is set further into the body, reducing the guitar's perceived length and enhancing playability.

  • The Firebird Studio 2017 T includes a 496R and a unique 496T pickup, which is not available as a standalone purchase from Gibson.

    Source

    Source

  • The guitar is praised for its playability and comfort, appealing even to those who typically prefer other styles like Double Cut Les Pauls.

    Source
  • The guitar is highly recommended for stoner rock, providing a suitable tone for the genre.

    Source

Comparisons

Great instrument

Great instrument, feels good and plays fast, the pickups are quite loud (excellent for dirty rock or metal). Nonetheless, the paint on the neck joint and the global electronic could have been better.
