'Only a Gibson is good enough'
This one is a 'player grade' '42 banner. Very warm sounding and surprisingly loud. Big fat neck. Great balance, even on (very) low volume. Feels like a piece of history (probably because it is).

In a video by Fretboard Journal, John Hiatt discusses purchasing his 1947 Gibson LG-2 from Gruhn Guitars in Nashville around 1986, which has since been his constant companion for picking and songwriting.
In the YouTube video titled "Bugs" by Jesse Welles, Welles can be seen playing a Gibson LG-2 guitar. Despite some visual similarities to an L-00 during his performance at Farm Aid, the guitar used is confirmed to be a Gibson LG-2.

Zach Person uses a Gibson LG-2 acoustic guitar, which has a unique backstory. During a Thanksgiving at his in-laws' home in Dallas, Person expressed his desire for a Gibson LG-2. His father-in-law recalled that his mother might have one stored away. After retrieving it from a shed in the rain, they found a worn-out LG-1. Austin-based technician Elaine Filion restored it by installing an X-bracing system, effectively converting it into an LG-2-style guitar. It is equipped with an L.R. Baggs pickup and bears the nameplate "Jeannie" in honor of his wife’s grandmother, the original owner. This instrument was featured during Person's appearance on the "Rig Rundown" by Premier Guitar, as reported by Chris Kies.

I play a Martin 000-28 guitar, and a Gibson LG2 (1947) I use Boss tuning pedals, Digitech JamMan Looping pedal, Diaz Tremodillo Tremolo pedal, LR Baggs pre-amp. I use Elixir Strings. I have a home-made foot stomping board with a Fishman pick-up in it for creating a kick-drum sound while playing solo.
