Description

For musicians craving the legendary Gibson experience without the hefty price tag, the Gibson SGJ 2013 offers an irresistible blend of vintage allure and modern craftsmanship. Renowned for its iconic double-cutaway design, this solidbody electric guitar is crafted from rich mahogany, delivering a deep resonance and classic tone that has defined rock 'n' roll history. The lightweight, contoured "slab" body ensures comfort, even during marathon sessions, while the '50s rounded maple neck profile provides a fast, smooth playing action.

The SGJ is outfitted with a pair of powerful 490R and 490T Alnico humbucking pickups, emulating the beloved PAF humbucker sound with added clarity and warmth. With its no-frills, stripped-down aesthetic, this guitar focuses on performance, boasting a PLEK-cut nut and vintage-style tuners for precise tuning and effortless playability.

Aesthetically, the SGJ embraces simplicity, featuring a grain-textured nitrocellulose lacquer finish and minimal embellishments, allowing the instrument's craftsmanship to shine. My go to guitar for anything!!!

Added a mid boost switch and frequency expander switch to the pickguard. Added 4 push pulls for coil tap and out of phase. Added brass nut and duesenburg les trem. And added Super distortion neck, and X2N bridge.

Great but...

... circuit board electronic so hard to repair/modify, insane sounding for the price it was back in the days.

bear_naisang

For the price this thing is a freaking monster.

I love the finish on this thing, neck and body. It's a stripped down rock machine that you don't have to baby. It plays great, sounds great, and looks great. If you want a genuine Gibson SG at an illogically low price, this is the guitar for you.
