Description

Crafted to embody Les Paul's vision of the ultimate guitar, the Gibson USA Les Paul Recording II is a masterstroke of innovation and classic design. This solid body electric guitar stands out with its unique low-impedance output, allowing musicians to plug directly into a mixing console for pristine recording quality. Originally designed to be Les Paul's personal "everything" guitar, this model offers a fascinating mix of vintage charm and modern versatility.

The Les Paul Recording II is all about tonal exploration. With its phase switch and coil tapping features, you can seamlessly shift between a rich palette of sounds—from classic humbucker warmth to bright single-coil clarity. This guitar is not just an instrument; it's a tribute to the legacy of a music legend, meticulously crafted to match the specs of Les Paul's original model. Whether you're recording in the studio or rocking out on stage, this guitar promises a sound and feel that’s as unique as its namesake.

one of the greatest Les Paul's I ever played

mine had angled mini humbuckers when I got it. there was a missing low z to high z option as it only played in high z. I love it and use it for writing most of the newer stuff I do.

Gibson: "Let’s talk guitars! Tell me about your main Gibsons."

John: "I have quite a few Gibsons. I have more Gibsons than anything else, for sure. I used a lot of Gibsons on the new record, and I always have on all of our records. Currently, the one I’m playing a lot is a reissue of the Les Paul Recording that came out a few years ago. It’s a 2013 model or something like that. I love that guitar. It’s so warm and even and awesome. You can do anything with it. It’s one of those guitars I feel is almost too nice to play every night, but we’ll see, because I’ll probably take it with me on tour this fall."
