The Drone Commander is the first synthesizer produced by Grendel. What it lacks in versatility it makes up for with its distinct character and rich tonal quality. I do wish I could explore the entire breadth of its sonic palette without a pulse, however. Sometimes the movement gets in the way when attempting to simply use its sound as a layer.
It was priced just right for the average consumer at $300 before they became limited (Eric made around 800 of these). Now it's difficult to find one for less than $400 (if you can find one to begin with). They do pop up from time to time on ebay. But lately sellers have been pricing them at $500 buy it now (not worth it IMO). A drone commander two is in prototype stage.
