HyperX Cloud Alpha Review - RTINGS.com

rtings.com

The HyperX Cloud Alpha are a solid choice for gamers on a budget, offering excellent build quality and comfort for long sessions. Their sound profile is well-balanced, though bass delivery can vary among users, making them less consistent. While they shine in wired gaming with clear voice communication, they fall short in noise isolation and portability, making them a poor choice for commuters or athletes. Other limitations include a lack of wireless options and limited control schemes. Overall, these headphones are a no-frills, durable option for gamers who prioritize comfort and sound over advanced features.

Despite its lack of portability and extra features, it delivers a no-frills experience that satisfies both gamers and remote workers. The headset offers a robust build with replaceable cables and microphone, ensuring longevity. While it lacks 7.1 surround sound, its clear audio and comfort make it a community favorite. HyperX Cloud Alpha Review - Audio Performance | TechPowerUp

techpowerup.com

The HyperX Cloud Alpha delivers a stellar audio experience, excelling both in gaming and music. Its innovative dual chamber driver design ensures clarity with powerful bass without midrange interference. Gaming acoustics are immersive, offering a wide soundstage and precise spatial positioning, ideal for competitive play. Music playback is equally impressive, with warmth and fullness across genres. The high impedance might seem daunting, but it handles well on various devices. While its gaming aesthetic might not suit everyone, the Cloud Alpha's sound quality for its price is hard to beat, making it a strong contender in the $100 range.

HyperX Cloud Alpha Gaming Headset Review - IGN

ign.com

The HyperX Cloud Alpha Gaming Headset shines with its dual-chamber driver design, offering excellent sound clarity and comfort at an affordable price. While the lack of 7.1 surround sound is a step back from the Cloud II, the trade-off is superior audio quality with less distortion. The headset's comfort and durability are commendable, making it ideal for extended gaming sessions. However, a wireless option would enhance its appeal. Overall, the Cloud Alpha is a top contender for gamers seeking high-quality audio without breaking the bank, though those craving virtual surround sound might opt for the Cloud II instead.

Even for gaming it's not that good

As a super cheap entry headset, well it would technically work, but the sound quality isn't that crazy, the foam is bad quality, the microphone breaks automatically. But it indeed emit sounds, the headset on itself is quite resistant, and the given cable is super long, and good quality as well.
