Critic Reviews

IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X

soundonsound.com

The IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X is a bold leap forward, boasting a user-friendly layout and impressive modulation capabilities that cater to serious synth enthusiasts. Its sequencer shines, emphasizing a hands-on approach that enhances creativity. However, the 'Bassline' mode feels somewhat unnecessary and could use refinement. While the oscillators deliver clean sounds, they lack standout character, which might leave some purists wanting more. Overall, it's a versatile instrument that balances accessibility with depth, making it a valuable addition for both studio work and live performance.

IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X is a standout in the synth world, delivering bold, rich sounds and enhanced hands-on controls that elevate its usability. With features like a paraphonic architecture, dual filters, and a robust effects section, it appeals to sound designers across genres. However, the subpar built-in keyboard detracts from its versatility, pushing users toward external controllers for optimal playability. While it competes closely with its siblings, the Pro X's extra controls offer a compelling reason to choose it over the Pro model, despite the latter's superior keyboard. Ultimately, it’s a fantastic choice for those seeking a powerful and affordable analogue synth, albeit with a few compromises.

IK Multimedia Uno Synth Pro X - Review : Ask.Audio

ask.audio

The IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X is a standout synth that combines affordability with a robust feature set, making it an enticing choice for both beginners and seasoned producers. With a hands-on interface and a versatile synthesis engine, it excels in crafting diverse sounds, especially with its paraphonic mode and rich filter options. However, it falls short without a song mode and lacks a built-in keyboard, which could hinder those who prefer more traditional playability. While the recent price drop enhances its value, potential buyers should weigh the limitations against its impressive capabilities. Overall, it's a fantastic tool for creative sound exploration, but it may not satisfy all users' needs.

IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X: finding its perfect form at last

musictech.com

The IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X is a dynamic reimagining of its predecessor, delivering an engaging, hands-on experience that inspires creativity. With a robust paraphonic sound engine, a wealth of connectivity options, and an intuitive interface, it's designed for musicians looking to explore sound deeply. However, it falls short with a USB connection that unfortunately lacks audio output capabilities, which limits its portability. While the Pro X is not aimed at beginners, its learning curve promises significant rewards for those willing to invest time. Overall, it’s a powerful and fun synth, perfect for both studio work and live performance, but prospective buyers should consider the USB audio limitation.

Review: IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X - Is this "The One"? - gearnews.com

gearnews.com

The IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X takes a significant leap forward with its intuitive interface and enhanced accessibility, making synthesis fun and engaging. The removal of the cumbersome matrix system in favor of direct controls allows for immediate sound manipulation and creativity. However, the absence of a traditional keyboard might deter some users, and the lingering USB noise issues can be frustrating. Still, with its rich, versatile sound and robust features, the Pro X stands out as a compelling choice for synth enthusiasts. It’s a refined product that finally delivers on the promise of its predecessors, proving to be a great addition for both new and seasoned users alike.

Nice Monosynth but...

We will mention the negatives, which are the following: no support from IK Multimedia in terms of either communication and problem solving with the Uno Synth Pro X software or problems related to the USB port. As a synth, it is really fun and nice, but the rest makes you unable to engage in depth with this nice synth. Too bad IK Multimedia, you lost another customer.
