Description

Four boutique tube amps in one!

If your tone is your masterpiece, the DT25 tube guitar combo amp is your paintbrush. This portable 25W/10W tube amp from Line 6 and tube-amp guru Reinhold Bogner gives you four stunning, lust-worthy amp voicings and unprecedented versatility that lay the foundation for you to build your perfect tone.

The powerful combination of reconfigurable analog components and HD modeling allows the DT25 combo to be four boutique tube amps in one, capable of producing stunning American cleans, British crunch, class A chime, and modern high-gain tones. Selectable operating class, power tube mode, and four Voicings (which offer the perfect combinations of negative feedback loop topology, and HD preamp and tone stack modeling) can dial in classic vintage tones or be shaped into highly customized originals - and each one drips with boutique tone and touch-response.

The DT25 amp gets to the point. It's a simple, two-channel amp with a streamlined front panel. But if you connect a POD HD multi-effect pedal or POD HD Pro multi-effect rack to this little monster the two integrate to become a boutique tube amp factory!

Connected via exclusive L6 LINK technology, the DT25 amp and POD multi-effect rewrite the traditional amp/multi-effect paradigm and introduce powerful new concepts in control and customization. Add effects, additional amp voicings, foot control and instant scalability (including stereo operation with multiple DT25 amplifiers). DT25 is the perfect pairing for POD HD multi-effects. The days of plugging a POD into the front of an amp are over!

Revolutionary Bogner tube design meets Line 6 HD modeling
The Voicing switch is the heart of DT25 amp. It conjures the characteristic tone, feel and response that are at the heart of four celebrated amp voicings: American clean, British crunch, class A chime and modern high-gain. Different negative feedback loop topologies pair with HD preamp and tone stack modeling to produce the perfect tonal springboards for you to craft your perfect tones:

¢ Voicing I: Classic American Clean (tight negative feedback loop)
¢ Voicing II: British Crunch (medium negative feedback loop)
¢ Voicing III: Class A Chime (zero negative feedback loop)
¢ Voicing IV: Modern, High-Gain (resonant negative feedback loop)

Selectable operating class and power tube mode
Take your tone in many different directions with the selectable operating classes and power tube modes. Mix and match them with the Voicing switch to dial in truly unique tones. Or align the components in tried-and-true combinations to deliver fresh takes on the immortal classics.

¢ Selectable operating classes - Class AB/25 watts/fixed bias; Class A/10 watts/cathode biased
¢ Selectable power tube modes - Pentode; Triode

Any two amps you want, separated by a single channel switch
The two channels can be set to any combination of Voicing, operating class and power tube mode, so the channel switch is more like an A/B switch connected to two different amps. (Or, for a boost channel, set the channels the same with one a little louder.)

For example, set Channel A to a California clean tone. It can be complete with a high amount of negative feedback for a tight sound, characteristic class AB headroom and plenty of pentode-powered body. Set Channel B to deliver vintage Class A chime with zero negative feedback for an open, dynamic feel. Triode mode darkens the tone a bit and rounds off the edges, and Class A operation provides no shortage of touch sensitivity when you dig in with your pick. That's total analog and digital reconfiguration in one touch.

DT25 amplifier + POD HD multi-effect = Boutique tube amp factory
DT25 amplifiers and POD HD multi-effects don't just connect, they seamlessly integrate to transform into a boutique tube amp factory capable of creating any tone you need with incredible tone and feel. POD HD multi-effects come to the party with additional models including 20+ HD amp models, 20+ HD guitar preamp-only models, huge collections of effects, cabs, mics and more. With a single L6 LINK connection, you get:

¢ Automatic analog configuration. Select a POD HD amp model or preset and the DT25 analog components will automatically configure themselves to the appropriate operating class, biasing method, negative feedback topology and power tube mode.

¢ Save custom analog configurations. Saving your custom DT25 configurations is as easy as saving POD HD presets. Tweak the DT25 amp settings, press Save on the POD HD multi-effect and incredibly unique and complex amp configurations can be recalled instantly.

¢ No ground loops. You'll never get ground loop hum from an L6 LINK connection!

The collaboration with Reinhold Bogner ensures the amp captures authentic touch sensitivity and valve feel. The integration with Line 6's L6 Link technology is a boon for users of Pod HD devices, allowing seamless sound shaping and configuration. The amp's switchable low-volume mode is ideal for studio use, maintaining rich, pushed output tones without overwhelming volume. However, some might miss built-in effects beyond the reverb, and the amp's full potential is best realized at higher volumes. The most slept on tube combo amp of all time

Seriously, this amp is fantastic. Soup to nuts, it's got the sauce! Great speaker, Bogner power amp section, tube preamp. Four selectable channels, line 6 link, MIDI capabilities, stereo XLR Outs, dual buffered effects loops. It's... A lot and I guess can be daunting if you are a beginner just looking to plug in and play. There are weird downsides to this, like the inability to use your own IR's? If you use the XLR out, you are stuck on using the Line 6 HD series cab sims, which aren't bad per say, but they are a little dated in 2025. The high quality speaker thankfully makes up for that. There is also a misnomer that these things have digital preamps, which is just not true, the only thing digital on here is the reverb. It's All tube, loud and proud with the ability to change tube class types and how many power tubes you can use. It models 4 different amps, basically a fender deluxe reverb, a Marshall Plexi, a Vox AC30 and a Mesa Boogie high gain type. I feel if you get to know this amp, it almost becomes a must have, especially if you are in a professional gigging cover band guitarist. It can cover pretty much any genre, takes pedals like a good tube amp should, it's portable but powerful and had a lot of professional features most amps just don't offer in this price range. If you find one, snag them up because they are becoming more and more hard to find.

Seriously handy piece of equipment with some serious gain/cleans

Product Description

The Line 6 DT25 is the first highly portable amp to provide the combination of reconfigurable analog components, a fully analog tube output stage designed by celebrated boutique tube amp guru manufacturer, Reinhold Bogner, and Line 6 HD modeling technology wrapped in a straightforward and visually stunning package. The result is optimum tonal flexibility in a two-channel, four-voice design that has all of the touch sensitivity, tonal depth, and dynamics essential in a gigging amp.

Why should you use a hybrid amp? Because low-wattage amps, when compared with 50- or 100-watt amps, have limited headroom and always "feel" small. DT25 solves that problem that with its powerful HD modeling providing the preamp. You get the headroom and reaction of a high-wattage amp because the preamp's power supply is not limited by what the power tubes need to use, and in return you get a much bigger sound in a small package. This versatility means you can get the tone and feel of a 100W amp, without lugging 100W transformers around.

Four boutique tube amps in one, so you can find your tone. If your tone is your masterpiece, DT25 is your paintbrush. This portable 25W/10W tube amp from Line 6 and tube-amp guru Reinhold Bogner gives you four stunning, lust-worthy amp voicings and unprecedented versatility that lay the foundation for you to build your perfect tone.

The powerful combination of reconfigurable analog components and HD modeling allows DT25 to be four amps in one capable of producing American cleans, British crunch, class A chime and modern high-gain. Selectable operating class, power tube mode and four Voicings (which offer the perfect combinations of negative feedback loop topology, and HD preamp and tone stack modeling) can dial in classic vintage tones or be shaped into highly customized originals - and each one drips with boutique tone and touch-response.

Fine-tune each DT25 voicing by reconfiguring analog components and crafting original tones that transcend the classic templates. DT25 provides a truly wide tonal palette.

Selectable analog components. Rather than being set in stone like those of most great tube amps, the analog components at the heart of DT25 are all totally reconfigurable to match the tones in your head. Select any of the amp's four voicings (which which offer the perfect combinations of negative feedback loop topology, and HD preamp and tone stack modeling), and the DT25 gives you analog settings to match. You can further alter settings such as output tube class (A or AB), power tube mode (pentode/triode) settings and more to take your tone beyond the traditional templates.

Channel switching for instant flexibility. In addition to all of its voicing flexibility, DT25 features two entirely independent channels. A flick of its A/B switch or a tap of a latching footswitch is capable of causing a full analog and digital transformation - go from a tight, crystalline American clean to an open, jangly British crunch. Dial in two clean sounds or set one channel as a Boost. Set them any way you like - you're not forced to choose between just "clean" and "dirty."

A brief history of tone: the HD modeling story. Over the last decade and a half, Line 6 has taken amp modeling from experimental to essential. POD HD Pro contains new HD models, which are a quantum leap forward in modeling quality, giving digital signal processing all the feel, dynamics and playability that makes players passionate about great tube amps.

Players have come to refer to the core sound of any amp as its "voicing", the foundation of its tone. Voicings are usually described like the "classic American clean" (like a tone based on* a Fender Twin Reverb) or the "Class A Chime" (like a tone based on* a Vox AC30). DT25 amplifiers can produce four historic and hugely popular amp voicings: classic American clean, British Crunch, and modern high-gain distortion with all the character, detail and nuance that made them famous.

Each DT25 voicing is the perfect blend of dynamic analog circuitry (which includes tube configuration and negative feedback loop topology) and HD amp modeling technology (which fuels the preamp and tone stack).

Voicing I: Classic American Clean. High amount of negative feedback for a tight sound that's reminiscent of 60s-style American cleans. Voicing II: British Crunch. Medium amount of negative feedback for a looser tone that echoes classic English breakup. Voicing III: Class A Chime. Zero negative feedback for an open, dynamic feel. Voicing IV: Modern High-gain. High amount of negative feedback (and added low-frequency resonance).

Bogner: A legend in tube-amp design. The man who revitalized Eddie Van Halen's famous #1 Marshall plexi, Reinhold Bogner is one of the most respected names in the world of tube amplifiers. Bogner was designing and building amps long before leaving Germany for California in 1989. Once settled in Los Angeles, he quickly earned a maniacally devoted following of discerning guitarists including Jerry Cantrell, Lyle Workman, Wes Borland, Chris DeGarmo, Keith Urban, Richie Sambora, Steve Stevens, Dan Huff, Allan Holdsworth, Mike Landau, Steve Vai and EVH. As Bogner continues to issue one legendary tube amp design after another, the list of devotees keeps growing.

Low Volume mode. Way beyond a traditional master volume, switching to Low Volume mode lets you take the DT25 down to whisper-quiet levels for recording or late-night jamming, without losing an ounce of your crystalline clean or bone-crunching high-gain tones. The tubes distort less in Low Volume mode so the HD modeling technology picks up the slack and fills out the tone with rich power amp modeling so it still sounds like it's cranked up even at low levels.

Celestion speakers for incomparable tone. The world over, Celestion speakers are the first name in tone and original equipment in countless classic tube amps. DT25 combos and extension cabinets include custom-voiced Celestion G12H-90 speakers for optimum tonal depth and clarity.
