Martin M540 Phosphor Bronze Light Guitar Strings Review | ANU Kind Of View

wordpress.com

The Martin M540 Phosphor Bronze Light Guitar Strings are well-suited for strumming in Country and Pop music, offering a bright, loud sound with good sustain. However, their stiffness can be a challenge for bends and slides, making them less ideal for Blues or Jazz. They maintain tuning well but lack flexibility for alternate tunings. While affordable, their sound deteriorates after three to four months, and they become difficult to play, with noticeable corrosion by six months. Overall, these strings are a solid choice for certain musical styles but may not suit all players' needs.

All in all good strings

I've been using this strings on different mid-priced dreadnoughts from Ibanez to Yamahas APX and CPX and they'd never disappointed me. I have them on my Martin DRS1 and I can't complain much either. If you play almost every day you'll probably have to change them every two or three months but that really depends on how much you play, how sweaty your hands get and how you tread your guitar and it's neck in generell. You can't go wrong with these.
