Tom is a user of GHS Boomers strings. He uses gauge .009-.046 on guitars with a tremolo bridge, and .010-.046 on all his others (and sometimes uses a .056 gauge string in the low E position for Drop B tuning)

I used these on my Lyon and the gauges are roaring. These strings WANT to be used for distorted hard rock, as well be versatile enough for a clean jazz tone.
