According to this product page from Epiphone, one of Jimi's early guitars was a Wilshire. Epiphone writes "though many of the early Epiphone instruments made in Kalamazoo were under-appreciated at the time of their release, numerous artists through the years recognized the unique appeal of these guitars including Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Kurt Cobain, and Steve Marriot."
In the Soundgarden subreddit (link here), a picture of Chris was posted in which he plays this guitar. Circa 1994.
In this video Paul can be seen playing an Epiphone Wilshire that has been modified with a Kahler tremolo and full sized humbucker in the bridge. Paul probably used this in the early Racer X days and in his time at MI and GIT.
The Wilshire has had lots of different headstocks and pickup variations through the years. Paul Gilbert's may be from the 60's and has the 6-inline headstock and originally had a stopbar bridge and tailpiece setup with 2 mini humbuckers.

"TWEEDY: I have a 1965 SG, which is pretty much my main guitar. I also used an Epiphone Wilshire, the mini-humbucker model, a little bit. Those were my two main electrics, but I have so many guitars. I've been buying them forever. I did a few overdubs here and there with a Rickenbacker 330, and also some with a Tele. But for the most part, almost everything is on the SG."
