Sennheiser HD 202 II Review - RTINGS.com

rtings.com

The Sennheiser HD 202 II headphones deliver decent sound quality with low leakage, making them suitable for casual listening. Unfortunately, they are held back by a plasticky build and uncomfortable fit, lacking noise isolation and audio controls. Their bulky design and long cable make them cumbersome for travel or sports. While they offer above-average sound for critical listening, they aren't ideal for noisy environments or prolonged use. Overall, these headphones are a budget-friendly option but fall short in versatility and durability.

A bit too bassy

I got my first pair as a Christmas gift. Loved it for listening to music (though the long cable is obviously better suited to a studio setting than for casual music listening). As soon as I used it for mixing it became apparent that they weren't quite as transparent as I hoped. They definitely have the low end cranked up, which I didn't appreciate at all. I've also had to replace them twice, and I consider myself to be extremely careful with gear. I'm looking to replace them with something better, maybe some of the higher-end Sennheiser stuff won't suffer from the same issues.

Awesome price point

got like 5 of 'em I think? There the all purpose, no big deal if they break, workhorse headphones. Kinda the the SM58 of the headphone world...except these break. I still have yet to kill a 57 or a 58 and considering my history that's damn impressive. Anyway, yep. I'll likely buy more soon I'm sure.

Cheap construction and cheap price

Good for tracking and listening music. Not as good for mixing, due to plastic sounding bass.

Good Sound Quality, Terrible Build

They worked flawlessly for mixing until they broke like a pair of cheap iPhone headphones.
