Abandonware pump & dump with subpar sound
I wanted to like this and I used mine for three straight years — overtones were weird, the quality deteriorated quickly, and the company abandoned the product and will not even support it on M1 Macs. Turned me off to Slate products for life.

Affordable and similar feature parity (8 pres, two headphone jacks, MIDI in/out, etc.) although the MOTU has better converters, cleaner pres, and a better overall sound. MOTU also updates their software regularly and does not abandon their older products as readily as Slate does.
